// About the Organization
A national organization that has been operating since 1991 in order to improve the lives of disadvantaged populations in Israel. The organization annually supports more than 3,000 children at-risk across the country through welfare and educational programs.
// Project Description
The project is designed to provide for children from disadvantaged families, a rich and varied educational framework during the summer break as well as on extended holiday breaks, such as Hanukkah and Passover. This program will include both individual and group academic reinforcement to address educational gaps that may have occurred during the school year. As part of the program the children will engage in experiential activities, classes, enrichment workshops such as sports, arts and crafts, cooking, self defense, magic and ODT.
// Project Goals
The goals of the Project: To reduce risky situations during school break; to minimize social gaps; to expose children to fields of knowledge such as music, art and technology; to create space for personal expression; to provide equal opportunities for children at-risk to learn and experience and to develop the children’s skills and personal abilities.
// Target Population
Approximately 50 children from disadvantaged backgrounds, many of whom are children of immigrants from Ethiopia, who are facing various risk factors. The indirect circle that will be influenced: families of the children who will benefit by having an educational framework for their kids during the summer break.
