// Project Description
The Startupisteam is a technological excellence program for 10th-12th grade students, in which the participants perform a simulation of establishing a start-up company, from the first stage of development up to the launch. Participants learn to use different programming languages, develop technological projects regarding social challenges and acquire various soft skills. Part of the program takes place in a start-up company, in order to expose trainees to its work environment.
// Project Goals
The purpose of the project is to provide participants with 21st century skills and the knowledge necessary in order to become a successful programmer. To teach them how to research, develop and learn independently. The program imparts the professional knowledge required for army service and the job market. It strengthens their self esteem, self-confidence and motivates them to pursue higher education.
// Target Population
Approximately 100 trainees across the country; in Kiryat Gat there are around 20 participants. The target population consists of overlooked teenagers grades 10-12 from a low socio-economic background, who are motivated to learn technological tools and who have the potential to succeed given the appropriate tools and training.
