// About the Organization

SAHI is a game-changing program working with at-risk youth. Instead of offering them our help, we ask them to help the SAHI organization help others, encouraging them to direct their lives on a positive path through giving.

// Project Description

SAHI is an educational innovative model that forms a partnership with at-risk youth, filling them with a sense of meaning, responsibility, and belonging. The youth provide for impoverished families by discreetly leaving food packages by their door. In addition, SAHI volunteers initiate other giving activities such as renovating the homes of elderly people, volunteering with Holocaust survivors, and more. SAHI focuses on neighborhoods in the socio-geographic periphery, engaging local community members to join as volunteers, and become role models for the youth.

// Project Goals

Providing the participants with a consistent, and stable framework for volunteering activities will lead them on a route towards positive change. Participation in the program will create a sense of belonging and meaning and increase their self-worth and sense of capability.

// Target Population

About 80 teenagers between the ages of 13-18, from diverse backgrounds, particularly youth at-risk, as well as 150 families and elderly people who receive the food packages, and in addition - the communities where the youth live.
