// About the Organization

Neve Hanna is a warm home for dozens of children ages 6-18 who as a result of extremely difficult circumstances have been removed from their homes by the Ministry of Welfare.

// Project Description

Neve Hanna operates a number of therapeutic programs for the youth:

Ziv Neurim: a maritime program that teaches how to grow through challenges.

Petting Zoo Trustees: educating young children about animals and plants.

Street Light: combining good deeds with educational training.

Youth advisory board: exercising responsibility in everyday life by implementing basic democratic values.

Jewish-Arab youth meetings: building a shared community to overcome prejudice.

// Project Goals

Neve Hana’s teenagers face a traumatic childhood as well as developmental gaps in all areas of life. The different projects offered by Neve Hanna for teenagers from the age of 12 are designed to make up for those shortfalls. The programs provide tools and skills to help these teenagers integrate better into a normative society.

// Target Population

Boys and girls between the ages of 11 to 18 from families dealing with challenging circumstances. About 60 participants implement what they have learned and pass it on to their families, schools and communities, becoming role models to other children in Neve Hanna.
