Marianne's Center is a non profit organization, focused on narrowing gaps and providing each child with an opportunity to thrive and reach their potential. The center has a wide variety of responses and programs in education, treatment, identifying potential beneficiaries, training, enrichment and more.
// Project Description
The Lev Kiryat Gat Choir is a professional choir for children and teenagers with disabilities. The Choir empowers the participants, highlighting their skills, turning Lev Kiryat Gat into a source of strength, a source that provides to others. The choir, led by a professional music producer, meets once a week for learning and rehearsing. Lev Kiryat Gat is well known and participates in many events and ceremonies including an event at the President's house and at the last Knesset inauguration.
// Project Goals
Empowering and strengthening the self esteem of participants with disabilities, while raising social awareness and increasing tolerance towards people with special needs. Bringing people with disabilities to the front of the stage and portraying them as strong individuals with mental resilience and as a source of pride to the Municipality of Kiryat Gat.
// Target Population
Fifteen children and teenagers with cognitive, communicative, motor or sensory disabilities, who were found suitable to join the choir. This choir indirectly affects the families of the participants, the community of special families as well as the residents of the city.
