// Project Description
‘Crossing the Street’ helps women, survivors of abuse, overcome occupational barriers, achieve financial independence, and regain control of their lives. The program is a long-term community-based initiative offering various solutions such as professional and occupational tools, time management skills, confidence building, self-esteem development, and more. The program provides operational tools for women's economic and occupational advancement by creating a personal development path, building a specific professional program for each participant.
// Project Goals
The purpose of the project is to improve the financial and employment status of fifteen women survivors of domestic abuse and their children from the Kiryat Gat area, and to help break the cycle of poverty. To establish a social employment network by recruiting volunteers and local businesses, and to deepen the professional relationship between the organization and the social and geographic periphery in Israel.
// Target Population
Direct and individual support for approximately 15 women survivors of abuse from the Kiryat Gat area, from across all socioeconomic backgrounds. The work of Women's Spirit's community creates broader circles of influence in the local community.
