// About the Organization

The network of community centers is a non-profit company that includes enrichment, leisure, culture and sports activities and operates as a community social organization for society.

// Project Description

The program’s framework enables children to experience active citizenship while respecting the individual. The program will encourage volunteering and social involvement. The parliament serves as a platform to influence all elementary school pupils in the city. The unique program gives the children a place within the urban community platform, so that all children in the program are given the opportunity to create a meaningful activity. As part of the program, the children will take part in workshops, leadership training and acquire tools to become leaders in their environment.

Following the Swords of Iron War, it was difficult recruiting the children and working with the schools. After a great deal of effort, the children were selected for the program and the Children's Parliament began to operate on time.

// Project Goals

The purpose of the program is to empower and create young leaders who will have a social impact both in the schools and in the community, as well as to encourage volunteer work and social involvement. The parliament will serve as a platform to help influence elementary school pupils in the city through student councils.

// Target Population

Approximately 30 participants in grades 5-6, from all elementary schools in the city. The indirect circles of influence are the children’s peer groups, the educational staff and their communities.
